WHAT TO EXPECT

IN GENERAL

For any and all sessions, you should expect that I’m not afraid of props and accessories.  I’m also not afraid to move you or your kids around, and I’ll tell you to move your chin if it makes your face look more flattering.  My goal is make you look your best.  My job is tell you when your hair is out of place, if your glasses are tilted, or your sweater needs a tug down.  Approximate amount of time is listed on the Investment Page by session, but expect to spend some extra time with me.  Whether we need to feed a baby, or spray down some fly away hairs, we'll spend the time before, and during to ensure you look your best.  For that reason, you will probably have to tell me when our session time is up, because I could click away all day long and get lost in my lens.  I never want a session to end, I always want "just one more," and I just don't ever want to limit myself to a set time frame when we really are working together to capture memories to last a life time.

IF YOU HAVE KIDS

Got kids?  Guess what?  Me too.  I’m a mom first, so don’t worry.  Kids will be kids.  Don’t be surprised if catch a photo of your toddler crying and actually look like I’m enjoying it.  I will be.  After all, they’re not mine.  I’m not shy, so if they have boogies or their hair is out of place, I’ll be directing you to do “clean-up” and “primping”.  I’ll ask you to move your child around, stand behind me and make silly faces, and catch ‘em if they run off.  Yep!  You get to be a wrangling assistant for the day.  The more you help, the more I can shoot.  Have a kid who’s moody, or can’t focus, or is so shy they’ll hide?  Me too.  I’ve got one of each.  We’ll make it work!

IF YOU HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR

Have a high school senior?  Want pictures that are appropriate for the mantel at the grandparents and still honor their maturity while keeping it pure?  I have my preferences as a mom and photographer, but I want you to capture your child before they venture off to the next chapter in their lives the way you want them captured.  And, we’ll let them have a say too. for a set or two to share with their friends.  Bring those cheerleading uniforms, jerseys, pom-poms and sports balls.  Glam it up for set, and bring jeans for another.

IF YOU ARE A STAR IN THE MAKING

Do you dance, sing, act, or model?  Or perhaps you want to?  Looking for updated headshots or photos for your portfolio or composite cards?  I get it.  You need a close-up, perhaps a black and white, a full-body shot, and you need to showcase your star quality.  I’ll help you bring out the best in you.

IF YOU WANT YOUR OWN PHOTO TAKEN

Haven’t taken a photo since you were at DMV?  Need a photo for your Etsy Shop or other small business?  A photo for your FB Profile, LinkedIn Account, or perhaps a dating profile?  Don’t be shy.  No matter what your age, I’m a firm believer in having at least one good photo of yourself taken every year.  I’ll help you pose, we’ll chat until you’re comfortable in front of the camera, and yes, we can crop at the chest if you want to focus on your eyes.

IF YOU HAVE A BABY

Whether it’s your first or your last, we all know newborns are fragile, right?  I’m kidding.  Have you seen the cutest poses on Pinterest?  If you’re comfortable with it, we’ll be bending arms, and legs, and squeezing them into poses that you’ll want to frame.  But if you prefer to let them be, you say so, and blankets and pillows work too!  Sleeping babies are a good thing, so if they fall asleep on the ride over, don’t wake them!  We’ll have time to rub their tummies, and ears to make them more alert.  Need to change a diaper or feed a hungry baby?  I get it.  Clean + full tummies = happy babies.
